This is a multi-currency encumbrance accounting system developed for UNESCO. This package maintains a record of the various programmes, the budgets allocated to them and the way they have been implemented.

The package also performs day-to-day accounting functions and maintains the accounting day books, ledgers, balance statements, bank reconciliation. In addition to New Delhi, the package is being used in at least six other country offices of UNESCO in Asia and Africa.

The tools/platforms used for the Field Accounting system are as follows:

• Visual Basic Front-end on Win 95/98/NT platforms. Microsoft Access as database on Novell Netware server. Crystal Reports is used for report generation. The software also has a stand-alone version.
