RODES is a software package for the Design and Earthwork Estimation of Roads and Rail Tracks. Developed to work on a minimum hardware, it is a very useful tool for engineers. The package generates outputs that include Cross and Longitudinal Section Plots and Earthwork Estimation Statement.

RODES, designed by PARAMARSH under technical guidance of key rail track and road design experts has a direct use for railway and highway engineers. The package can also be used in related areas such as canal design, mining and site preparation. The package has widely been used by major construction agencies for last 8 years.

The tools/platforms used for the development of RODES package are as follows:

• Microsoft C and Fortran on DOS platform. The package used flat files for data storage.
