The United Nations
Population Fund has two offices in New Delhi, each having a 50 node
network. The organization has around 50 desktop PCs of various international
brands, LaserJet printers, scanners and 4 servers for database,
email, proxy and web services. UNFPA uses RF link to NIC for Internet
connectivity. The email is based on Netscape Mail and the operating
environment is Windows NT and Novell Netware.
Since
March 2002, the IT Support services are provided by PARAMARS in
association with UNFPA's IT Focal Point with one on-site engineer.
The services provided include maintenance of network, client support
and technical consulting.
