The
United Nations Development Programme office in New Delhi has an
extensive IT infrastructure consisting of a 200 node LAN. The organization
has around 150 desktop PCs
of various international
brands, 50 LaserJet printers, scanners and around 8 servers for
database, email, proxy and web services. UNDP uses RF link to NIC
for Internet connectivity. The email is based on Netscape Mail and
the operating environment is Windows NT and Novell Netware.
Since
1998, the entire IT Help Desk operations are handled by PARAMARSH
with an on-site team of 2 engineers and a Help Desk operator. The
services provided include maintenance of network, system administration,
equipment maintenance, client support and technical consulting.
